KENT, WA, FEB 9, 2010: WinEstimator, Inc. is now shipping Version 12 of its industry-leading cost estimating software. This release marks yet another milestone in the evolution of WinEst's suite of software; software focused on all aspects of cost estimating, from the development of initial parametric budgets to detailed final estimates.

Version 12 is significant in that WinEst customers will be able to optionally select Microsoft SQL Server® as the database engine for their estimating Price Book of items, assemblies, and labor and equipment tables. WinEst version 12 will continue to provide support for the existing proprietary database engine for those customers that choose not to migrate their existing WinEst cost database to Microsoft SQL Server®.

Steve Watt, President and CEO of WinEstimator, Inc. noted, "WinEstimator has added a number of global, enterprise customers to its client portfolio over the last five years, many of which would like to dynamically link their ERP systems with the data contained in their WinEst estimating database. With the delivery of WinEst 12.0 these customers will now have the option to choose Microsoft SQL Server® as their database backbone, providing full „read / write‟ access to their material, labor, and equipment pricing". In addition to providing support for Microsoft SQL Server®, WinEst Version 12 also includes many new general enhancements that will benefit both mid-market and enterprise level clients. Over the next eight weeks all WinEst customers currently subscribing to a WinEst Service Plan will be shipped Version 12. The first group of customers to receive WinEst Version 12 will be those clients attending our WinEst User Conference, March 1-3, 2010 in Seattle, WA.
