Building a conceptual model has become increasingly difficult as
companies often rely on a variety of tools to store project data from
Microsoft Excel to various project management solutions. Therefore,

created by other offices, and using past estimates and “as built”
project costs for cost modeling just isn’t possible.

During development of the initial project budget users can rely on
ModelogixTM to tap into a company’s estimate and cost history
and search for work of similar type and scope. ModelogixTM
allows the user to take advantage of an inflationary price index to
adjust the costs to the date and location of the proposed project.
ModelogixTM not only produces a budget proposal with drill
down capabilities, the proposal can also contain the projects that were
used in the development of the cost model. A proposal that contains the
supporting projects makes the budget more defensible and at the same
time demonstrates a companies’ ability to perform work on projects of

Takeoff Options
WinEst Virtual Takeoff gives the estimator unparalleled speed and accuracy
by enabling them to conduct takeoff directly from the PC screen using
digital image plans from file formats such as DWG, PDF, JPEG, BMP and
many others.
Unlike other third-party add-ons, WinEst Virtual Takeoff is dynamically
linked to your estimate data.
Takeoff Pro for Windows is used in conjunction with WinEst and a
compatible digitizer board. It gives the estimator unparalleled speed
and accuracy in digitizer board takeoff.
WinEst Extensions
WinEst DesignEst Pro leverages the detailed design information contained
in projects created with Revit Architecture 2008 to quickly produce both
conceptual budgets and detailed cost estimates. With DesignEst Pro, it's
now possible to explore design "what ifs" and immediately see the impact
on your project budget. Since DesignEst Pro runs within Revit you're
able to view the cost of your objects without having to leave the
application.
DesignEst Pro's ability to provide both costs and durations for each
object means you now have an answer for the 4th and 5th dimensions. The
results of the design can be viewed on a wide variety of levels from
full detail to top level summary.
Uses existing cost estimate data to quickly create RFQs and ITBs and
enables on-line users to deliver the RFQs and ITBs to subs and
suppliers, via email, fax, or the Web.
Enterprise Data Manager enables companies, large or small, to securely and
efficiently organize and manage information related to the creation of
cost estimates in an easy to understand and use hierarchical data
structure. All information maintained by WinEst Data Manager is stored
in either Microsoft SQL or MSDE.
