With the introduction of WinEst’s MS Project Integrator, gone are the days of creating cost and resource-loaded tasks from a “printed” copy of the estimate. WinEst has created a unique two-way interface with MS Project that dramatically reduces the time required to load individual task with supporting details from the estimate. Less time spent creating cost and resource-loaded tasks means more time for exploring “what-if” scenarios, like resource leveling and changing the dependencies between tasks.
WinEst’s MS Project Integrator provides you with a wide range of new capabilities:
► Supports an estimating-centric workflow where project tasks are created from the scope of work as defined by the estimate
► Supports a project controls-centric workflow, where the project scope is initially defined in MS Project, then made available to the estimator when the estimate is being assembled
► Allows tasks to be created in MS Project with the same work-breakdown structure (WBS) as defined in your WinEst estimate
► Allows groups of individual estimate items to be summarized into a single task
► Creates tasks in MS Project with complete details from the estimate; labor trades, hours and costs; material descriptions, units and costs; equipment and subcontractor costs, and more
► Allows the estimator to view the parallel/serial logic of tasks while assembling the estimate
