RS Means Databases
RS Means Databases are electronically compiled versions of the popular
paperback cost estimating price books. Each database has a list of items
with costs from the price books arranged to run specifically in WinEst
Pro or WinEst Pro Plus. These databases provide an excellent set of
prices for cost estimating construction projects.
Available RS Means Standard Databases include:
- Building Construction Cost Data (BCCD)
- Open Shop BCCD or Metric BCCD
- Mechanical
- Electrical
- Plumbing
- Sitework/Landscaping
- Concrete
- Heavy Construction
- Light Commercial
- Repair and Remodeling
- Interior
- Residential
Items of work have the same labor productivities and category pricing as
found in the paperback price books.
Each standard database is formatted according to the Construction
Specification Institute Master Format Index.
Each standard database has an index to look up items of work by common
name categories for those items.
Additional user station standard database uses are discounted from the
base price.

Each composite database is a combination of four databases combined into
one larger database.
One composite database is the price of four standard databases.
Each composite database is formatted according to the Construction
Specification Institute Master Format Index.
Additional user station databases are discounted from their base price.
